TALK: MAKING BEST USE OF COMPUTATIONAL FACILITIES IN STUDIES & RESEARCH
VENUE: SEMINAR ROOM GEOLOGY DEPT, PU
TIME 1100 hours (4th September,2008)
ABSTRACT: HERR RUDOLF Jung will educate students and users of computers about the facilities existing at their University and how the central facilities help students and researchers in Germany. This will help us improve and add on our existing facilities at the computer centre. An awareness as to what is generally provided or should be provided by the computer centre would enlighten us to put forward our requests to our service providers more emphatically. Its our chance to know first hand about quality computer inputs in Germany and get to know how easy it is for us to take a leap frog in all our departments if we once decide WE MUST ALSO BE AT PAR WITH GERMANY.
ALL STUDENTS AND COLLEAGUES ARE WELCOME TO THE TALK WHICH WILL BE FOLLOWED BY A HANDS ON TRAINING INVOLVING INDIVIDUAL INTERACTIONS IN OUR COMPUTER LAB IN GEOLOGY DEPT.
Dr Rudolf Jung shall not mind carrying on individual and small group interactions whole afternoon. If yyou have the will to exploit his visit to Geology Dept, PU; he has all the time for you. We have several geologicl softwares which can be easy for all of us after this talk.
